The Game & Snoop Dogg - On The Block

I've got the West Coast on (very) heavy rotation for a few weeks (months/years) in my iPod, so pardon my "non-stop West Coast posts". But once again, it's really worth it ! The Game & Snoop Dogg team up on a new track for the upcoming Don Cannon & DJ Skee mixtape, Made In America.

Daz Dillinger - Tell Me What You Got

A much better track off "Public Enemiez" but a cheapest video by Daz Dillinger.

New video from Daz Dillinger : "In My Neighborhood" off his upcoming album "Public Enemiez".

Butch Cassidy - Fast Car

Butch Cassidy is finally free to drop his first solo effort, "First & Last" (dropping next month !). And his first single (which will hopefully be his last auto-tune attempt - finger crossed) is a remake of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car". As a big fan of B.C., this single is pretty trash. But I am gonna support Butch Cassidy because he really deserves it anyway.

For all the West Coast heads that have been waiting for this 3rd album of Tha Eastsidaz, the time has comed to unveil this remastered version of "Gang Bang Muzic" that was meant to never surface. Indeed, it takes a miracle to make music when you got one of your boys (Tray Dee) convicted to 12 years behind bars ! Courtesy of youngthug23.

Hussein Fatal - They Don't Get It

Fatal Hussein who just released his new mixtape "Pain Muzik" puts out a lil freestyle on video. It's pretty dope !

Young Life - My Life

This song doesn't stand out by its musical originality but there is a nice vibe. I leave you make your own opinion about this Compton kid named Young Life.

DJ Quik & Kurupt - Hey Playa!

Don't listen to weather forecasts, Summer is already here thanks to the West Coast vets DJ Quik & Kurupt whose common project, "Blaqkout" is due June 9th (and they seemed to have fun recording it). This new track "Hey Playa!" is damn catchy. Now all I need is a beach and a pinacolada.

Nipsey Hussle - All My Life

I guess you know now that when it comes to Nipsey Hu$$le, I gotta post it... enjoy this video of Nipsey reversing Jay Rock's single "All My Life".

Slim Thug - I Run (Remix) Featuring Brisco, Nipsey Hussle, Yo Gotti & E-40

New remix for the intergalactic banger "I Run" (yeah, I really like that song) with some new talents, confirmed talents and the veteran E-40. They should blend that one with the former remix with Chamillionaire and Z-Ro, that would make a stratospheric hit !

Trae featuring Mistah Fab - The Real Life

Trae has a sovietic state of mind these days... producing music non-stop. One month after the collab cd with Rob G, "Both Sides Of The Fence", which is really worth it by the way, we got this new track with the Yellow Bus Boy, Mistah Fab. And the resultat is just as good.

I will write a bigger post about that cd with Rob G soon, because it doesn't deserve to be slept on like that.

Pacific Division - PacDiv EP

There's always something new and impressive on the West Coast right now, and I won't complain since I am a big fan of that sunny California.

Today's big act is Pacific Division with their "PacDiv EP" (iTunes link). A really valuable EP with (only) 3 great tracks. It sounds like old school with a new breezy touch of that 21th century. I wish the summer was already here so I could bump it in my car with my windows down and my sunglasses... not caring about if I run over a baby.

Suga Free, Mr. Capone-e, Young Lefty & Pinpin Young - Hi Power Pimpin

Suga Free's (aka the Pimp) new album is out today : Hi Power Pimpin. My review is coming soon (hopefully tomorrow), but this track already made my day.

Listen to it and you'll understand that "Yes, We Can" is definitely the best motto in years ahah. These 3 words are themselves a punchline !

Crooked I - If You Ever Hear Me

New track by the west coast don Crooked I. Saddly, it's not off his new album "B.O.S.S.", because this record is just crazy. However... it will be featured on an other project, wait & see.

The future of Death Row Records

I want to share a very interesting read for those who are concerned by Death Row's future. As you may know, the label was sold at an auction and has a new owner : the Canadians WIDEawake entertainment. They gave an interview to the very good website hiphopdx.com.

Daz Dillinger - I'm 2 High

New track from Daz Dillinger off DJ 2 High's "West Coast Gangsta Shit Vol. 1". Good to hear some talk box again. And Daz is killing it on the mic. The album is available on iTunes.

Crooked I - I Am Still A MC

If you wondered a few weeks ago if Crooked I was still breathing after the dramatic shooting scene he was involved in, he has a blunt answer to give you : "I Am Still A MC". And he's too humble to admit it so I'ma tell you : he's the B.O.S.S.

Indeed, that's the name of his upcoming album that he'll will leak for free on the Internet very soon. Check out his first single :

Nipsey Hussle - Live in Salt Lake City

It's already my 3rd post about Nipsey Hussle... but I am telling you HE IS THE FUTURE !

He's tearing this stage up ! So enjoy his abilities live.

Ankore - The People Said...

I want to introduce you to a band, from California, that would deserve to be under the spotlights : Ankore.

I met them... In fact, I did met Akili Shine (one of the 3 members) on Venice Beach, like a year ago, while he was selling his CDs. I was one of his satisfied customer (money back guaranteed). From this day, their cd has always been around my cd player.

Their blend of true Hip-Hop and smooth R'n'B is a delight for the ears. And they do have a message behind their music.

The title of the album is "The People Said...", in reference to all the racism and violence that were not supposed to happen again... but it did.

Enjoy this video if you want to taste a new musical experience
