Marky - Nothing Is 43ver : Review

Washington D.C. is a epicentre of "what's revolutionnary" right now. Yes, I am talking about President Barack Obama... and Yes, I am talking about Marky ! That's a very audacious parallel, isn't it ? But that's the kind of earth quake, I felt when I put my headphones on for Marky's Nothing is 43ver.

Marky, himself, breaks it down very well : DC has no particular musical influence. So he cooks up something new for the listener and paves the way to his own destiny : what he introduces as "The Sweet Taste Of Victory".

I don't want my words to mess up with your own imagination on this CD because sometimes I get barely objective when it comes to something I like. So I'm gonna stop talking and I'll let you make up your own mind about it. It's on free download right here ->

Jay'Ton - Hood Wired Up (feat. J-Dawg & Lil Boss)

Easter kinda took me away from my blog... but I am back with one of my favourite artists : Jay'Ton who drops a new video. The track is off his upcoming mixtape "Got It By Tha Ton"

Marky - Nothing is 43ever

The wait is over, because Marky's "Nothing is 43ever" is now avaible on free download. So what the hell are you doing now ? Go download it !

or

Jay'Ton feat Trae & Yung Quis - We Here

I told you Jay'Ton would drop bombs. And the first deflagration is this banger "We Here" featuring his brother Trae and Young Quis. Enough with that chitchat, press play.

Marky - Delusional

In a few weeks or months (or whenever you want), you'll find yourself saying "Did you hear about that Washington DC kid named Marky ? - Damn, his music hot, take my headphones and listen". I'm saying that, but that's exactly what happened to me when I was with my cousin earlier. And that's what I am doing right now.

His mini-album, "Nothing is 43ver" (tracklisting above) will be out really soon... let's say Friday ! You're lucky, you won't have to wait long . For now, just press play :

Trap - 747 Fly

"Ladies & Gentleman, we are arriving at Phoenix, AZ, the sun is shining, temperature's very warm and there's a fucking new rap talent named Trap. Make sure you get all your belongings before you leave the aircraft. Thank you and press play !"

Until today, the only rappers I knew from Phoenix (which is a city I really love) were MC Magic and his folks from the NB Ridaz. Now I can say, I know them + Trap. Before that, I had made a few researches about the Phoenix rap scene without finding any interesting flows, even though I was convinced there were some undiscovered talents out there. I guess Trap was one of them, but he succesfully made his way through our ears.

Make sure you download his mixtape which is avaible on free download. It made a very huge impression on me, and on some other 40,000 people (according to Trap's myspace). The future's defenitely here !

Here is a sample, so you can make your own mind first.

Pacific Division - PacDiv EP

There's always something new and impressive on the West Coast right now, and I won't complain since I am a big fan of that sunny California.

Today's big act is Pacific Division with their "PacDiv EP" (iTunes link). A really valuable EP with (only) 3 great tracks. It sounds like old school with a new breezy touch of that 21th century. I wish the summer was already here so I could bump it in my car with my windows down and my sunglasses... not caring about if I run over a baby.

Pacific Division - Mayor

Famous - A Kid Tryna Make It feat. Mayhem Morearty & Blake Carrington

Great record, great video with great images of LA... Like Luda would say "It feels Greaaaat !". U gotta love this joint.

Famous
EP "I Rap Now" is already available on Free Download here.

Bobby Ray - Ghost In A Machine

If you heard of some talented guy who went by the name of B.o.B., you already know Bobby Ray as he changed his name like a week ago.

But in these 2 sentences, you only have to pay attention to the word "talented". Indeed, he released a few days ago a little gem : "Ghost In A Machine".

Nipsey Hussle - Live in Salt Lake City

It's already my 3rd post about Nipsey Hussle... but I am telling you HE IS THE FUTURE !

He's tearing this stage up ! So enjoy his abilities live.

Ankore - The People Said...

I want to introduce you to a band, from California, that would deserve to be under the spotlights : Ankore.

I met them... In fact, I did met Akili Shine (one of the 3 members) on Venice Beach, like a year ago, while he was selling his CDs. I was one of his satisfied customer (money back guaranteed). From this day, their cd has always been around my cd player.

Their blend of true Hip-Hop and smooth R'n'B is a delight for the ears. And they do have a message behind their music.

The title of the album is "The People Said...", in reference to all the racism and violence that were not supposed to happen again... but it did.

Enjoy this video if you want to taste a new musical experience

Hustle Boyz - Twist Up Grapes

The Hustle Boyz made a huge impression when they released a few weeks (or months... my mind is kinda slow today) ago the track "Don't Bother Me" (View the video here).

The buzz is already huge, so don't miss out their firt mixtape which is on the way : "Hustle Boyz Or Nuth'in: A Breath of Fresh Air."

And here I come with som Fresh news - their new single & video "Twist Up Grapes" :

The West is definitely back :whistling:

Jay'Ton of S.L.A.B. - Got It By Tha Ton

In the shadow of Trae "Tha Truth", you might see his younger brother Jay'ton ! He's a really talented MC from Houston, who's in the game for a few years now so I'm happy to see that his day is coming eventually.

I've always thought he should deserve a bigger spot, I knew (hoped) it would happen, and here it is : he's taking is shot !!! So be on the look out because the future is here !

You can listen to "Bonified Hustla" HERE, one of the first tracks that leaked from the mixtape.

But Santa is coming with a new blaziiiiiing track "Hood Wide Up" to listen HERE. (My favorite)

Elohim Marino - I Am An Addict

Elohim Marino is an addict, and I am addicted to his music since his album "The Son Of Hip Hop", one slept-on album which may be one of the most memorable indie releases over the past years.

But the Queens based rapper is working slowly on a come back and is offering his new mixtape for free, which is entitled "I Am An Addict".

Tiron - Ketchup

Handle Ketchup carefully because it might leave some stains that will never go away.

And this mixtape by the Los Angeles rapper, Tiron, does abide by the rule. Once you put your ears on it... and might stay for a long time.

We feel the breezy summer coming and we really needed it. So thank you Tiron, who as a polite gentleman give his mixtape for free download right here :

Including the hot single - Throwing My Money ! (Let me catch some please)

Nipsey Hussle - Bullets Ain't Got No Name

This bullet does have a name : Nipsey Hussle (who got his name from the American comedian Julius "Nipsey" Russell).

Coming from the sunny Los Angeles, this Slauson rapper is making a breakthrough that only the trailblazers who reached the West can do.

He already has 2 mixtapes out : Bullets Ain't Got No Name Vol.1 & 2. And the third one is on its way... or it's boulevard.

Exclusive : Listen to Payback (the new single from his upcoming mixtape)

Like he said "the West needs an update !". So turn the page of the golden age of Death Row and the 90's and open the chapter of Nipsey's legacy.

What could be better than a summer in CA with a Nipsey Hussle album entitled "South Central State Of Mind" ?

His first single "Hussle In The House" is buzzing everywhere ! Peep the video right here !

His touring with The Game so don't miss him : check the dates here.
